New Delhi, April 9 -- Process Mining and Process Intelligence company Celonis has established a new global innovation hub, named Celonis Garage, at its office in Bengaluru. The new hub is intended to serve as a centre for co-innovation, working closely with customers, partners, startups, and academic institutions to develop and scale advanced technological solutions, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence and process intelligence.

To lead this initiative, Celonis has appointed Sowmya Kubendran as Vice President and Head of Celonis Garage, with Monika Gupta taking on the role of Head of Innovation. Both leaders bring significant experience in managing global technology teams and driving product innovation. The company sees their leadership as crucial to fostering an environment that supports experimentation and rapid solution development.

Celonis Garage will adopt a flexible and agile approach, similar to that of a startup. The aim is to create a space that encourages new ideas and fast prototyping, helping the company to identify promising concepts and turn them into scalable products. It will also serve as a platform to engage with India's growing ecosystem of technology startups and global capability centres, many of which already collaborate with Celonis.

The launch of the innovation hub comes shortly after the appointment of Kaushik Mitra as the company's India Go-To-Market Leader, further emphasising Celonis' focus on the Indian market. The Bengaluru hub will be closely connected with Celonis Labs and the company's broader Strategy and Innovation division.

Malhar Kamdar, Chief Customer Officer and Executive Leader for Celonis India, said that ongoing investment in the region is a key part of the company's strategy. He noted that Kaushik Mitra's extensive experience in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) sector and his leadership track record will be valuable in driving Celonis' next phase of development in India.
