Sri Lanka, Sept. 28 -- Roads, highways and flyovers play a critical role in accessing key destinations and reducing travel time to accelerate economic growth. Modern transportation comprises roads and highways that cut across all key cites and commercial stations. Such a road network is the need of the hour for Sri Lanka which is eager to expedite economic growth. Here work in progress on a stretch of the 'Slave Island Flyover' linking Baladaksha Mawatha and Sir Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mawatha, Colombo 2, captured by our staff photographer Sudath Nishantha.
