Sri Lanka, Nov. 9 -- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is yet to decide on accepting the newly proposed vehicle allocation for Parliamentarians by Budget 2026, said the Secretary General of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Ranjith Maddumbandara.

Maddumbandara told the Sunday Observer that the Opposition parties have been left in disarray as the President's move goes against the Government's election promises to do away with privileges of MPs.

"The Government said that no MP will have what the common citizen does not have. They have now tied this iron ball on us so that their 159 MPs can get new vehicles. These vehicles are being brought down, while going against the accepted tender procurement process," said Maddumbandara.
