Srilanka, Jan. 11 -- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to postpone the submission of a No-Confidence Motion (NCM) to the Speaker against Minister of Education and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, following controversy over the inclusion of a web link to an adult website in a Grade 6 English module and growing unrest over ongoing education reforms.
Opposition sources said the decision to delay was taken after the SJB was informed of several other unresolved issues in other education modules too.
The party is seeking more time to gather information on these concerns and include them in the no-confidence motion.
