Sri Lanka, Nov. 16 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara yesterday dismissed protests by estate workers against the party, saying the party remains unfazed. The demonstrations followed several SJB members opposing the Government's decision to grant a Rs. 200 allowance to estate workers by way of relief.

"We are not concerned about the protesting estate workers. After all, we received the highest number of votes from the hill country," Madduma Bandara said, downplaying the protests.
