Sri Lanka, Nov. 2 -- The Lifeline Hope Foundation (LHF) held a workshop on "Home Based Palliative Care" at the Amalya Grand Hotel in Homagama recently, where two renowned oncologists explained the concept in detail and also debunked some misconceptions.
Set up in 2023, LHF is a voluntary organisation that helps terminally ill cancer patients with financial and material aid, and also providing counseling for patients, caregivers and family members.
Its main objective is to add "life to the years" of cancer patients in the comfort of their own homes.
The main objective of the workshop was to raise awareness among the public about the need to help terminally ill cancer patients in various ways, some of which do not cost any money at all....
