Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- Two of Sri Lanka's future stars Pathum Nissanka and Kamil Mishara delivered outstanding performances in the group stage of the ACC Asia Cup Men's T20 Cricket Tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

Nissanka hammered back-to-back half centuries in the opening two games against Bangladesh and Hong Kong respectively while Mishara was equally brilliant as he held the middle order together with his solid contributions.

Even then, it were the bowlers who made the initial impact as seamers Nuwan Thushara and Dushmantha Chameera started off in a spectacular manner by sending down back-to-back wicket maidens against Bangladesh at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
