Sri Lanka, Sept. 28 -- Lieutenant Commander Madhushika Piyumi Kathriarachchige of the Sri Lanka Navy has been honoured with the Kiwanis International Outstanding International Student Award by the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. The prestigious award is presented annually to only two international students, recognising exceptional achievement and leadership.

Lieutenant Commander Kathriarachchige is a graduate of the 27th Intake of the Kotelawala Defence University. She was also adjudged the Best Midshipman and awarded the prestigious Sword of Honour upon her graduation.
