Srilanka, Dec. 7 -- Secretary to the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, Prabath Chandrakeerthi was appointed as the Commissioner General of Essential Services by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on November 29 as Sri Lanka grappled with Cyclone Ditwah. Entrusted with the critical responsibility of coordinating and maintaining essential services across the country, Chandrakeerthi now oversees sectors such as electricity, water, highways, food, education, and health.
