Sri Lanka, June 15 -- A delegation of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) led by its General Secretary Tilvin Silva visited Guizhou Province in China on the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) last week.

They met General Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the CPC Xu Lin on Wednesday.

The meeting at the International Conference Hall in Guizhou, focused on strengthening the historic ties between the CPC and the JVP, particularly in the light of the recent electoral victory of the National People's Power (NPP) coalition led by the JVP.
