Sri Lanka, Nov. 30 -- As Sri Lanka grapples with the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah, more help is arriving from across the border. India has stepped up its humanitarian response under Operation Sagar Bandhu, sending essential supplies and trained rescue teams to support affected communities.

The cyclone, which struck on November 27, brought unprecedented rainfall exceeding 300 mm in some areas, causing floods, landslides, and widespread destruction. The disaster to date has claimed 123 lives, left 130 missing, and forced nearly 44,000 people into temporary shelters in schools and public buildings.
