Sri Lanka, June 15 -- Sri Lanka Police said that it has received credible intelligence reports regarding an impending threat to Jewish Chabad Houses in Sri Lanka. Acting Police Spokesperson ASP F.U. Wootler told the Sunday Observer yesterday(14) that following the intelligence reports, Police have taken measures to increase security provided to the Chabad Houses and in the surrounding areas.
Accordingly, security has been tightened in and around the four Chabad Houses in Arugam Bay, Colombo, Weligama and Ella. He said that in addition the Chabad Houses in Sri Lanka have also requested the Sri Lanka Police to provide extra security to the establishments.
