Srilanka, Dec. 7 -- Sri Lanka's rising tennis star Ganuka Fernando emerged as the runner-up in the Boys' Singles event of the ITF World Tennis Tour J30 Pokhara Tournament held in Nepal. Ganuka was beaten 6-2, 6-7(7) by Yul Ho Jung from Korea in a thrilling final encounter after having defeated Nepal's Pranab Manandhar 6-4, 6-2 earlier in the semi-final fixture. The two-week ITF World Tennis Tour J30 Circuit 1 and 2 featured 80 players from 16 countries. A total of 55 boys and 25 girls participated in the tournament. Participating nations include Nepal, India, China, the United States, New Zealand, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Canada, Australia, Korea, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Israel and Hong Kong.
