Sri Lanka, Dec. 21 -- The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has called upon President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to take immediate action to ensure the Right to Information (RTI) Commission is provided with adequate and independent financial resources.
The letter addressed to the President, signed by the President of the BASL, Rajeev Amarasuriya and BASL Secretary Chathura A. Galhena has raised concerns regarding the functioning and financial autonomy of the RTI Commission.
