Sri Lanka, Nov. 2 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has reportedly decided to launch an investigation on the assets of senior police and military officers, according to sources. Initially, the probe will focus on top-ranking officials, with plans to later include lower-ranking personnel. The investigation will also be expanded to cover other key Government agencies, including the Department of Prisons, Customs, and the Department of Immigration and Emigration, sources said.

According to the sources, the CIABOC is also exploring the possibility of hiring additional staff on a contractual basis to document and manage the ongoing investigations, as its current workforce is insufficient to handle ...
