Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Cargills (Ceylon) PLC presented educational scholarships to students from farming communities at a ceremony on Friday, an initiative of the Cargills Sarubima program. Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation K. D. Lal Kantha was the chief guest. Secretary to the Ministry D. P. Wickramasinghe, invitees from international development organisations, and Directors and senior management of Cargills were present.
This year, the company allocated over Rs. 115 million through the Cargills Sarubima program to support student scholarships and rural community projects.
