Sri Lanka, Nov. 2 -- Budget 2026 will be presented in Parliament on Friday, November 7 at 10 30 am by President and Finance Minister Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The National Budget presentation comes as the country continues its economic recovery from the debt crisis of 202224, which had a default on external obligations for the first time in the country's post-Independence history and a severe squeeze on foreign financing.

Key priorities expected in the 2026 fiscal plan include strengthening exports, capital investment, rural development, digitalisation initiatives, education reforms and public transport infrastructure. Relief measures for the high Cost-of-Living for affected segments are also likely to be included.
