Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- The Government has issued a Gazette Extraordinary extending the ban on 15 organisations, including the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), due to their alleged involvement in terrorism-related activities and financing.
The Gazette, signed by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha, reiterated that these organisations have persistently provided financial support for terrorism, leading to the continued freezing of their financial and economic assets.
