Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- The Sri Lanka Army will soon return all 73 vehicles in its possession that belong to other Government agencies, Army Spokesperson Brigadier Waruna Gamage told the Sunday Observer yesterday. He said that discussions are currently underway regarding the handover process.
The move follows a recent Government audit that raised serious concerns after revealing that the Army had been using 73 vehicles belonging to various Ministries without formal authorisation. Gamage said that all vehicles including those in a state of disrepair will be handed over in the coming days.
