Sri Lanka, Nov. 16 -- Sri Lanka will see 2025 as the year with the highest foreign exchange earned through foreign remittances since the inception of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) 40 years ago, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath.

The Minister was addressing an event organised by the SLBFE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate the Bureau's 40th anniversary, at Temple Trees in Colombo yesterday.

According to Minister Herath, Sri Lanka had earned over $6.5 billion USD by the end of October this year, through foreign remittances and is expecting to receive over $7.5 billion USD by the end of this year.
