Sri Lanka, Oct. 12 -- Safe and sound transportation is a key element for economic growth. For years this need has been spoken at every nook and corner but to no avail. Here a section of the narrow, single-lane iron bridge in Hunupitiya, locally known as 'Yakada Palama', which crosses the railway tracks for light vehicles has been in the present pathetic state putting many lives in danger far too long.
