Singapore, Nov. 16 -- If at first you do not succeed, try and try again. And that is exactly what Jaguar has done with its F-Pace, its first sport utility vehicle.

When it was launched here three years ago, it came as a 3-litre V6. It stood tall against cars like the Audi Q5 and Porsche Macan in terms of styling and utility. But it was far less alluring at the wheel.

A year later, a 2-litre rear-wheel-drive variant followed, with value for money as its main proposition, but alas, little else.

Now, Jaguar has unleashed a game changer - the steroidal F-Pace SVR. It is the third SVR to have come out of Jaguar-Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations unit (an equivalent to BMW's M, Daimler's AMG and Audi's Sport).
