Singapore, Jan. 18 -- A 2-litre engine powering an all-wheel-drive car measuring just under 5m long, 2m wide and weighing more than 1.8 tonnes would normally be a non-starter. But in the Audi A7 Sportback 2.0, it is surprisingly adequate. Not scintillating, but adequate.

With 245hp and 370Nm of torque from 1,600rpm, the A7 has as much going for it as the Kia Stinger 2.0 reviewed here. On paper, the all-wheel-drive Audi is a mite slower to the century mark than the rear-wheel Kia (6.2 versus 6.0). But on the road, it feels more responsive.
