New Delhi, May 17 -- The growth in India's middle class and strong aspiration among India's young to be part of a global workforce have emerged as key drivers for Indian students seeking to study abroad. This will be particularly noticeable after the recent school-leaving examination results.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, around 750,000 Indians leave the country to study overseas each year. While the US and UK were popular choices earlier, countries like Australia, Canada, Singapore and New Zealand have emerged as preferred destinations for Indian students to pursue their higher studies.
