Https, July 16 -- The Maldives foreign ministry has revealed that discussions will take place between the Maldives government and Chinese officials regarding the bilateral coordination mechanism.

The ministry said the two countries will hold its first Director-General level bilateral coordination mechanisms talk on Thursday. The meeting will be focused on the opening of borders and tourism, and the two countries will discuss cooperation on COVID-19 prevention, recovery of economy, tourism and safety measures, said the ministry.
