He said, Oct. 16 -- Pakistan's Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has expressed doubts that a faction separated from the Al Qaeda in Indian Sub-continent (AQIS), the Indian sub-continent unit of terrorist outfit Al Qaeda, is trying to recreate its base in Karachi.

A report in the Pakistani media said that the CTD also claimed to have eradicated two groups involved in the murders of policemen and communal killings.

"We have an input that six 'unsatisfied' militants of the AQIS have reached Karachi from Afghanistan. They are trying to re-activate their 'sleeper-cell'," CTD officer Raja Umar Khattab said.
