New Delhi, April 8 -- A new chapter in regional cooperation, economic integration, and strategic unity was inaugurated at the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit, held in Bangkok, Thailand. In this historic event, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh and Nobel Laureate economist, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, assumed leadership of the important regional alliance.
