Hyderabad, June 23 -- Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and state R&B minister Vemula Prashant Reddy on Tuesday landed in soup after he called the people from neighboring Andhra Pradesh as those from 'Lanka', adding that all those from Lanka are monsters.

Reddy was speaking on a broadcast to Divitipalli in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district on Tuesday, where he alleged that the government of Andhra Pradesh was plundering Krishna river waters.

The minister pointed out that former chief minister (late) YS Rajashekhar Reddy had drawn water from Pothireddypadu illegally and now his son, Jaganmohan Reddy had gone a step ahead by taking up RLIS to draw water unlawfully.
