Hyderabad, July 30 -- In 2013, the UN General Assembly designated 30 July as the 'World Day against Trafficking in Persons' and declared that it was necessary to observe such a day to raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights. People are trafficked for sexual exploitation, forced labour, forced begging, forced marriage; for selling children and as child soldiers, as well as for the removal of organs.

Dr Jitender IPS ADG L&O Telangana State Police on Thursday inaugurated the Anti Human Trafficking Unit of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
