New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on Thursday issued rules for Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme announced in the Union Budget to curb the pending litigations under the erstwhile indirect tax regime.

Under the rule, all declarations have to be made electronically in the prescribed format.

For each case under the amnesty scheme such as a show cause notice, or one or more appeal arising out of such notice which is pending as on June 30, 2019, separate declarations have to be made.

"On receipt of declaration, an auto acknowledgement bearing a unique reference number shall be generated by the system," the CBIC notification said.
