Bhubaneswar, Jan. 13 -- A day after Serum Institute of India's Covishield vaccine reached Odisha, the state today received as many as 20,000 doses of Covaxin, Bharat Biotech's COVID-19 vaccine.

The Covaxin arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here this morning from Hyderabad and later transported to the State Vaccine Store.

First consignment of Covishield comprising 4.08 lakh doses had recahed Odisha yesterday.

The vaccine will be dispatched to all districts within 48 hours, ahead of the vaccination drive beginning from January 16.
