Bhubaneswar, Jan. 13 -- Adding another feather to its cap, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, has once again earned recognition in the country for ensuring cleanliness and providing a safe environment to the patients.

The AIIMS Bhubaneswar has won first prize in the Kayakalp awards for cleanliness (2019-20) in B Category and received a cash reward of Rs 2 crore. Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan presented the award to the institute in a virtual ceremony on January 12 2021 in New Delhi.

The hospital has been successfully winning the award for the past three years. In 2018-19 and 2017-18, the institute bagged second place in B Category with Rs 1 crore prize money.
