France, May 12 -- Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi has claimed the 2025 Prix Marc-Vivien Foe prize as the best African footballer in Ligue 1.
The 26-year-old, who was runner-up in the 2024 competition, succeeds Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and joins a pantheon containing Nicolas Pepe, Victor Osimhen and Seko Fofana.
"It's a source of pride for me to join the circle of great players who have won the award," said Hakimi as he received the Marc-Vivien Foe Award trophy.
"It's fitting recompense for the season I'm having and for the season PSG are having too."
