France, May 13 -- President Emmanuel Macron is expected on Tuesday night to unfurl his vision for the last two years of his presidency including the possibility of a referendum on certain issues during a two-hour interview on national television.

The TF1 special called "Emmanuel Macron - the challenges for France" will be anchored by Gilles Bouleau who will be joined by union leaders who will grill Macron on his record.

The president will also answer questions sent in by ordinary citizens.

"Surrounded by more than 100 square meters of screens, the president will be addressed by figures from civil society, both on set and via video," TF1 added in a statement on Tuesday.
