France, Feb. 24 -- Chad's government said on Monday in an official statement that the border would remain closed until further notice, citing "repeated incursions and violations committed by forces in Sudan's conflict."

The government said it would be closing the key Adre point with West Darfur, to prevent Sudanese armed groups from crossing into Chad.
