KATHMANDU, Sept. 30 -- A new aircraft of Yeti Airlines, a private sector airline, has started commercial flights from today. The sixth ATR 72-500 aircraft which was added to the airline's fleet on September 5 started commercial flights from today.

Sudarshan Bartaula, a spokesperson for the airlines, said that the new aircraft carried out a flight from Tribhuvan International Airport to Biratnagar at 8:20 AM today after completing all necessary procedures and obtaining flight permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

The authority has given the call sign 9N-AMZ to the aircraft. The 70-seater aircraft was leased from an Australian company. Spokesperson Bartaula said that the aircraft with MSN number 986 had only flown ...
