BHAIRAHAWA, March 23 -- Prime Minister KP Oli on Friday inspected the under-construction Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.

Impressed with the progress of the national pride project, Prime Minister Oli urged the contractors and workers to maintain the pace so that the project is completed soon. While briefing the prime minister on the project, Sanjeev Gautam, director general (DG) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said 68 percent work has been completed and everything is going on as per the schedule and the airport will be ready within 2019.

He also claimed that the second international airport will be better-equipped than the Tribhuvan International Airport.
