KATHMANDU, June 5 -- A total of 26 Nepali nationals have arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The Nepalis in Myanmar were brought home today in the first phase of evacuation. An aircraft belonging to the Myanmar army airlifted these Nepali nationals at the request of the Government of Nepal.

The aircraft arrived in Kathmandu to fly back home Myanmarese nationals stranded in Nepal for the past two months due to the suspension of all international flights and the nationwide lockdown enforced by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19.
