KATHMANDU, March 2 -- The main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has accused the government of interfering in the decision-making process of Kathmandu University (KU) Senate to grant affiliation to the proposed B and C Medical College in Jhapa to run MBBS classes.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, NC's Central Education Department (CED) charged that the government had undermined the provisions made in all relevant Acts, rules and agreements reached with various stakeholders on different occasions in the past.
