MUSTANG, Jan. 10 -- Continuous snowfall since the last few days in Mustang has hard-hit people's life. Even cattle have been bearing the brunt. However, farmers say that they are happy as snowfall is expected to bring back the moisture of the soil triggering better yield for their crops.

"We welcome the snowfall. On Tuesday there was slight rain as well, and heavy snowfall followed the next day" said Krishna Kumar Thakali, a farmer of Sauru village of Thasang Rural Municipality - 2. "In case of a dry spell, our crops suffer and the yield is very poor."

According to Thakali, Mustang had not received adequate rain and snowfall for the last few years. 'Even last year, it was not adequate.'
