BIRATNAGAR, April 26 -- An elderly couple in Sundarharaicha Municipality-11 of Morang was beaten up mercilessly by a group of people on the charge of practicing witchcraft recently.
Tunaka Khawas, 63 of Dhati Toli in Sundarharaicha-11 along with his sons Shyamlal, 35, Ram Kumar, 31 and his daughter-in-law Shashikala, 30, had beaten up the couple, according to Manoj Kumar KC, the chief of the District Police Office (DPO), Morang. As his family members kept falling ill one after another, Tunaka's daughter-in-law Shashikala, had started learning shamanism.
