KATHMANDU, March 22 -- National Assembly member Khimlal Devkota has accused the government of not being serious about improving the current sorry state of Tribhuvan University (TU).

Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday, Devkota said that the government was not serious even though there were news reports, editorials and interviews of the vice-chancellor about the sorry state of affairs at TU.

He said, "News, editorials and interviews of the vice-chancellor about TU's situation and efforts started for its reform have been continuously coming in the media. However, the government is not serious about improving Tribhuvan University."
