KATHMANDU, March 25 -- A writ petition was filed at the Supreme Court on Sunday challenging the recent appointment of Samim Miya Ansari as the chairman of the Muslim Commission

Abdul Salam, hailing from Kapilvastu lodged the petition naming the Office of the President, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Office of the Constitutional Council Secretariat, the Federal Parliamentary Secretariat, the Parliamentary Hearing Committee and Ansari as defendants in the petition.
