Nigeria, Feb. 13 -- The police have confirmed that their operatives and that of the Nigeria Air Force publicly fought along a highway in Delta State, south-south Nigeria, over the arrest of a drug suspect.

Bright Edafe, the police spokesperson in the state, confirmed this in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, calling it a "disgraceful incident".

He was reacting to a video of the incident posted on the microblogging platform.

It is unclear when the incident happened.
