Nigeria, July 10 -- A national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, and the pioneer chairman of the party, Bisi Akande, led other South-west leaders of the party to Akure, the Ondo State capital on Tuesday, to work together to ensure the party emerged victorious in next year's governorship election.

The party in the state has been divided since the primaries leading up to the last election, with the emergences of a faction opposed to the governor.
