Nigeria, March 24 -- Popular football stars will be used in the "Kick out the Virus" global public awareness campaign against coronavirus which has infected over 300,000 people globally and killed thousands.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) announced on Monday that it would be partnering with FIFA, the international governing body of football, to launch the campaign.

The campaign promotes five key steps for people to follow to protect their health in line with WHO guidance, focused on hand washing, coughing etiquette, not touching your face, physical distance and staying at home if feeling unwell.
