World Bank Group Appoints New Country Manager for Lebanon
Lebanon, July 1 -- The World Bank Group announced the appointment of Enrique Blanco Armas as World Bank Group Country Manager for Lebanon. This new role will unify country-level leadership across the different arms of the institution to help drive sustainable recovery and development and create jobs by supporting both public and private sector priorities. Based in Beirut, Blanco Armas will lead the World Bank Group's engagement in Lebanon, which includes working closely with government officials, the private sector, civil society, and development partners.Most recently, Blanco Armas was the Manager for the Strategy and Operations Unit of the International Development Association (IDA), the World Bank Group's fund for the poorest countries. ...
