Guyana, Oct. 16 -- Technology group Wartsila will supply the equipment for a power plant needed to operate a new gold mine in Guyana. The Oko West Gold Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana located approximately 95 km west of Georgetown. It is a remote region where tropical conditions pose significant challenges. Wartsila's engines were specifically chosen for their proven ability to operate reliably under these environmental conditions.
