Norway, May 8 -- The municipalities of Alesund and Sula have signed a contract with Veidekke to carry out the construction works related to the new Kongshaugen treatment plant. The commission is a design and build contract valued at NOK 400 million excluding VAT. The main part of the contract includes a number of construction-related works pertaining to the treatment plant in the bedrock, such as major concrete works, the boring of ventilation shafts and water and frost protection. Veidekke will also construct an administration building of approximately 1,000 m2 comprising two storeys, including related foundation works and landscaping.
