Norway, Jan. 30 -- Veidekke has been commissioned by Base Bolig and BORI BBL to build the first stage of 66 apartments, common areas and parking facilities for the Eikeparken project in Stavanger. The contract is a design and build contract valued at NOK 190 million excluding VAT. The project has a quiet and withdrawn location at Kristianlyst, close to schools and sports facilities. The apartments, ranging in size from 42 to 128 m2, will be in two buildings six and eight storeys in height. In addition, there will be a common underground parking facility, event premises, guest bedsits and outdoor areas. Veidekke will commence demolition work of the old Fjelltun Bible School in January.
